Google Drive
Sell access to Google Drive files or folders without moving your content. Entora handles payments and automatically grants or revokes sharing permissions when purchases happen or entitlements expire.
Setup steps#
Do these in order for a smooth launch.
- 1
Start a new Google Drive entitlement
On the Entitlements page, click “New Entitlement” → “New Google Drive Entitlement”. If prompted, finish the Google auth flow.
- 2
Pick a Drive asset
Use the Google Drive picker to select a file or folder. Entora stores the file ID only; your content stays in Drive.
- 3
Set pricing and availability
Enter name, price (USD), sale end date, and access duration. Prices must be > $0 and under $1M.
- 4
Activate and test
Toggle the entitlement to Active, then send a payment link to yourself. Complete the purchase and verify Drive access is granted.
- 5
Share the payment link
Use the payment link in your email, Discord, or site. Customers receive a receipt and an access-granted email automatically.
Best practices
- Use shareable links that are restricted; Entora manages access for buyers only.
- Set access duration to limit how long Drive access remains after purchase.
- Keep file IDs stable; if you replace a file, update the entitlement to the new ID.
Troubleshooting
- Access not granted: Confirm the Google account you connected owns the file and that the file is not in trash.
- Wrong asset: Open entitlement details and update the identifier to the correct file ID.
- Customer cannot open link: Resend the payment confirmation email or verify the customer is using the email they purchased with.
